Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points, permitting entry to authorised personnel only
- Locking and unlocking the premises at specified times
- Prevent loss and damage to our partners property by reporting irregularities
- Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances
- Take accurate notes to complete reports, log book entries and all relevant paperwork to a high standard - including reporting in detail any incidents occurring whilst on duty
- Ensure risk assessment and assignment instructions are followed at all times to meet the partners requirements
- Deal with partners, their colleagues and their visitors in a professional manner
- You must at all times conduct yourself in a manner which brings credit to Octagon Facilities Management and take appropriate care of all equipment and uniform issued
- You must ensure you attend sites in full, clean Octagon Facilities Management uniform and present yourself in a professional manner
- Assist in training new colleagues in all aspects of their job
- You may also be invited to attend training courses in order to develop your career progression
- You will be responsible for ensuring you are fully aware and understand the health and safety policy of both Octagon Facilities Management and the assignment you’re working on
- To take effective action in an emergency and fully co-operate with the relevant services
- Carry out any other duties of a reasonable request by the client
Ideal Candidate
- It is essential that you have a valid SIA licence for the required activity
- It is essential that you are prepared to travel within the county you’re applying for
- First Aid certificate would be advantageous
- Flexible and willing to learn procedures
- A highly motivated individual
- Ability to work well within our team as well as to work unsupervised
- High expectation of customer service delivery
